About me

Sarah Tomlinson's ideal night is spent by a grand piano accompanied by a glass of red wine, a pen and a notepad. Guided by a lilting mezzo-soprano voice, the Toronto-born alternative pop artist pens thought-provoking sultry anthems about love and self discovery. Sarah draws inspiration from artists like Amy Winehouse, Raye and Alessia Cara, as well as from her Portuguese roots.

Rather than shy away from controversial issues, her studies in journalism have also expanded her songwriting to social justice issues like climate change and women's rights. “I’ve always been passionate about storytelling and using my writing to raise awareness of the issues that matter most to me,” says Sarah.

Over the past six years, she’s been streamed in over 30 countries and has performed at several Toronto music venues like the El Mocambo, The Rivoli, The Cameron House and The Drake Underground.

Tomlinson’s Pop EDM song Trust The Process has been featured on several playlists including Apple Music’s New Music Daily and on CBC radio. Her single "Wanted You To Want Me” (2025) surpassed 50,000 streams and landed on numerous independent playlists.

Her latest release, "Trophy" (March 2026), is a witty and defiant anthem that blends a soulful jazz-pop edge with modern pop sensibility. Recorded at the renowned Chalet Studio and mastered by JUNO-nominated Ian Bodzasi, "Trophy" and her upcoming single "Not Really" set the stage for her upcoming EP, scheduled for February 2027.
